Barley

Agricultural & Food

As a matter of fact, barley is the fourth largest grain crop after wheat, rice and corn. It is very adaptable to various environments and can remain a successful cereal crop because of its short growing time and ability to survive in poor conditions. It has two growing seasons, winter and spring. It does best in the spring in a temperate zone with a 90 day growing season and it has a very good resistance to dry heat compared to other small grains. It is used for animal feed, human food and the production of alcohol. Overall global production varies around 150 million tones, but the demand for high quality malting barley is expected to increase to meet the increasing demand. We provide barley from Russia, Ukraine and Canada and sell it to China, Middle East, South Korea and South Africa mainly.
